But many hedge funds, particularly those focused on absolute return strategies, have a significant tax burden. In an attempt to offer a tax-managed investment solution to their high-net-worth clients, many wealth advisors are directing their clients to consider investing in alternative assets through private placement life insurance (PPLI) structures.
